We actually had a family to come in and price us on an at-need basis, then drive to the next county where one of our competitors dropped their price to undercut us. While the family used them for the cremation they came back to us to purchase one of your urns.

Since we switched to selling ONLY Z&A, our urn sales have gone through the roof. We used to sell about an urn a week, now we're selling one a day. I think the main reason is because of the price. With the old company, we had to price our urns so high that no one would buy them, not to mention they would raise their prices every 6 months. Now we're selling urns over the phone and the family hasn't even seen the urn because there is perceived value.

I would say 75% of our urns are personalized. I am very surprised at the number of people who have all five sides of the urn engraved, since it's no extra charge. Families love that. It amazes me how crisp the picture engraving is on both the wood and marble, along with the limitless stock art library. I had a family who wanted some kind of tennis picture on the urn. I called and within minutes I had a two page fax with tennis artwork. No surprise, the family bought three urns, all engraved.
